I decided to improve my simple icon converter program, that I created during my time on the Paragon “bench”, and make it easier to use because it is getting more use than I expected.
It now allows you to edit the transparency mask, create Vista compatable icons, create icons with multiple resolutions, and create cursors. Check it out here.

I never expected it at the time, but this application has become my most popular download.
When I was creating other software, I would find an image to use as an icon, but then be surprised that very few image manipulation programs could save the image as an icon. I searched for free applications to do this, and there were lots of links to try, but nothing was really free and worked well. So I spent a little time to create my own. At the time, it was one of the only free icon converters available. Now there are several good ones, but my app still gets downloaded more than any of my other programs.
